Stan possesses 50 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and has earned the reputation of being one of the preeminent defense attorneys in the area of insurance coverage law. Throughout his career, Stan has tried well over 100 cases to verdict with a high ratio of success. In addition to his trial skills, he has appeared before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey on more than 20 occasions resulting in many published opinions. He was lead counsel in arguing Jameson v. A&P which resolved the issue of what qualifies as proper service on large retailers. Stan has also argued six matters before the New Jersey Supreme Court, which includes the seminal case of Mantilla v. NC Mall Associates addressing contractual defense, coverage issues and indemnification.

Stan began his career defending all types of malpractice cases and representing insurance companies in coverage issues. Presently, he serves as trial counsel for many large self-insured companies, third party administrators and insurance carriers. He has extensive experience in handling all types of litigated matters in both New Jersey and New York, as well as in Federal Court in both states. He has also served as a mediator and has testified as an expert in the area of professional malpractice. Stan is often consulted by national companies and insurance carriers regarding coverage issues and contractual indemnity and risk transfer questions.
